Crest
That for the regiments and separate battalions of the Ohio Army National Guard: On a wreath of the colors Argent and Azure, a sheaf of seventeen arrows Argent bound by a sprig of buckeye fructed Proper (Aesculus glabra, two leaves with bursting burr).

Shield
The shield is white with the blue border the older and the later Infantry colors. The rainbow is the device of the 42d Division in World War I and the black Maltese cross recalls the service of the Regiment in Puerto Rico in the Spanish-American War.
Crest
The crest is that of the Ohio Army National Guard.
The coat of arms was approved on 18 May 1925.
